The song was originally released in 1984 on Elektra Records but due to popular demand the song was re-released in 1986 by Vinylmania Records with a new "Eighty-Six Mix" that is smoother sonically and structurally. "Honey To A Bee" peaked at #12 on the US Billboard Dance Chart on September 8, 1984 after spending ten weeks on the survey.
